7 tips to get on your bike early

CYCLING TRAINING

Do you find it difficult to get up to go train? These tips will help you wake up early to go for a ride.

If you're one of those who turn off the alarm, roll over, and go back to sleep, this article is for you. We're going to give you a series of 7 tips that will help you wake up early with energy and the desire to go out for a ride

And the thing is, if you don't train, you won't be able to improve. On many occasions, waking up early can make the difference between reaching your full potential on the bike or falling short.

If you want to wake up early like a champion, follow these tips:

1. Don't snooze

You must avoid hitting the snooze button at all costs. This only hurts your ability to wake up when the alarm goes off.

If you need to, you can set an alarm 90 minutes before the time you want to wake up, so you can have one last complete sleep cycle and wake up more refreshed.

2. Go to bed earlier

An average adult needs between 6 and 9 hours of sleep to be alert and energetic the next day. If you want to wake up early, you'll have to go to bed earlier, so you can have enough time to rest at night.

3. Try to wake up at the same time every day

If you have the habit of waking up early, it will be much easier for you to wake up to go train. If you turn it into a habit, you may even be able to wake up without the need for an alarm.

4. Find allies

If you arrange to go on a route with a companion, it will be much easier for you to wake up early and not procrastinate getting up: someone will be waiting for you.

Also, training with a companion can be an excellent way to improve your performance

5. Set a goal

If you have a medium to long-term goal set, you will know the reason why you are training and waking up early. Keeping this in mind will help you get out of bed every morning.

6. Have everything prepared

If you have everything well organized and prepared from the previous day, it will be more comfortable and faster for you to leave the house and start pedaling early.

In addition, you will avoid wasting valuable training time wandering around the house half-asleep in search of your cycling shorts or water bottle.

7. Enjoy your training

It has been proven that when we enjoy what we do, even if it involves effort and sacrifice, it is easier for us to do it. That is why it is better to schedule routes or outings, whether they are short or long, that excite you and that you will enjoy.

It's not the same to wake up early for a stretch that you hate, as it is for one that you are passionate about and that you feel proud of after finishing it.

We hope that, thanks to this series of 7 tips to make waking up earlier easier, you can go out for an early bike ride. And remember that practice makes perfect, that is, if you want to improve your technique or your fitness, you only need one thing: train.
